Branch On The Vine

Suddenly we’ve moved 
From the extravagance 
Of dating each other 
To the simplicity 
Of doing life together 

And we’re still 
In the honeymoon 
Phase of marriage 
But we’re already 
Getting used to each other 

And you go to work 
Monday through Friday 
As I do laundry 
And apply for jobs 
It’s so normal 
And beautiful 
Everything I wanted 
With you
Doing life together
