Sometimes when I'm feeling bloated
The week before my period
Or after eating extra treats
I have to give my abdomen some extra love
And thank God for the belly
That he gave me
And remind myself
It's okay to not have a flat tummy
Sometimes when I get acne
When I'm feeling extra stressed
Or consume a trigger food
I have to give my skin some extra love
And thank God for the protective barrier
That he gave me
And remind myself
It's okay to not have clear skin
Sometimes when I feel my thighs expand upon sitting
When I compare them to another woman's
Or I get a rash from them chafing
I have to give my legs some extra love
And thank God for the strong supports
That he gave me
And remind myself
It's okay to not have "perfect" thighs
Sometimes when I get anxious
And I start to drown in the stress of life
Or I can't find the reason for my fear
I have to give my mind some extra love
And thank God for the miraculous brain
That he gave me
And remind myself
It's okay to not have it all together
