And I Know I Should

Feeling sad
Don’t even know why
But I feel so alone
As I sit here and cry

And I know I should
Give my sorrows to God
Instead of burying them within

I’m so tired
And I don’t know how
To truly rest

And I know I should
Spend time in the Bible
Instead of scrolling for a while

Everything feels like a chore
Getting through the day is a bore

And I know I should
Have a better attitude
And be content in every situation

But on my own
I just can’t

So God, please help me
Jesus, please be my strength
I cast all my anxiety on You
My sadness & dull spirit
On You
Because You care so much
For me
And that is enough

“I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”

Philippians 4:12-13

    Love the poem! It’s so comforting to know we have a Comforter who will never let us down and will see us through all the lows in life.
